Paragraph "about" the event:

How do we look at and live through technically produced images?

How do we interact and invent this now-not-so-new language?

A gallery: a visualizing device, a camera obscura where content becomes a projection from ‘an outside’, an interpretation that wants to share a viewpoint, a position in an allegedly ‘position-less' space. A three-dimensional screen.

A blindly realized possibility to work towards awakening our fading consciousness, because there is something about the mindless happiness sponsored by digital image that reeks of death drive, social isolation and muffled exploitation. A de-meaning technology with the power to indoctrinate and the potential to liberate the signs we must become in order to count as political actors.

Trying to take action against the general consensus between images and people (a practice), knowing nothing can be achieved as long as others don’t go along, the action is not against images but against the current feedback consensus between images and people. What we tacitly endure and perpetuate.*

Organized by Clara López Menéndez with The Box LA.
